I always liked seeing the signs posted on the shores of Lake Ontario that inform us about the edible fish that are swimming around below the surface.  It gives a different perspective on the lake, much more than just a pretty sight, but also a thriving ecosystem.

Not all fish are edible, partly because of the industrial history and resulting pollution that is still present; there have been incredible improvements over the last few decades, but more is still to be done.

Bluegill, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch,…  all names that are both common and exotic, since few of us ever have access to such catches.  They inspired these Tea Towels that have a sunny mediterranean colour scheme.  I really like how they look and feel, printed on a nice and structured cotton canvas.
